Ginger’s

Description

There was a time, long ago—aka the aughts—when Park Slope was known for its sizeable lesbian community. As the demographics of the neighborhood have changed, so have the choices in watering holes. Ginger’s is the lone lesbian bar left standing in the neighborhood, and one of just a handful (though a growing handful) in the the City. It’s not unusual for crowds here to include straights and dudes, and even straight dudes. But the focus remains on the ladies, who turn out for the Shake IT dance party on Fridays, Bingo on Sundays, karaoke on alternating Thursdays and one of the best happy hours in town.
