Christopher Park

Description

This tiny West Village park covers less than one-seventh of an acre, but there’s a lot going on behind its historic 130-year-old fence. Located across the street from the legendary Stonewall Inn, the park features George Segal's touching Gay Liberation statues—a must-see for art lovers and those interested in the gay rights movement. Civil War buffs will also enjoy tributes to Colonel Ephraim Elmer Ellsworth and his Fire Zouaves, and General Philip Henry Sheridan.
