Lyceum Theatre

Description

Built in Beaux Arts style by Herts and Tallant in 1903, the columned Lyceum is Broadway's oldest continually operating theater. The Shuberts took ownership of it from playwriting duo George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart in 1950 and have operated it since. Among the features of the building is a small apartment that offers a bird's-eye view of the stage; it serves as home to the Shubert Archive.
